TinselColor : Holiday Soundtracks Live

Date: December 21, 2025

Location: CineVitas, Inglewood, CA

During the month of December, Joey McIntyre hosted a sold-out Holiday residency concert, “TinselColor: Holiday Soundtracks Live” at the Cinevita theater near Sofi Stadium and Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The show runs from December 2nd to December 30th. They had to add extra dates due to popular demand.

This is my third time seeing Joe this year. I previously saw him on the Freedom Tour in April and at the 100th Annual Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian in Cambridge in September.

Cinevita Theater

The Cinevita is a small intimate theater that seats up to 750 guests. The venue is designed with seats and tables surrounding the stage with 3,000 mirrors and 200 hand-made stained glass windows. There is also balcony seating in the upper levels. There is not a bad seat in the house. The theater definitely gives an old Hollywood vibe with the servers and ushers dressed like hotel bell-hops from the 1920s and 1930s.

Moreover, the theater is decorated with Christmas trees, lights and garlands along the banisters of the grand staircase. The front center stage is decorated with an old tv stand with two lounge chairs. The front center stage is connected to a wooden walkway that leads to the back stage where the live band and back up singers are placed.

Along with the concert tickets, Cinevita also offers ticketholders to purchase $30 parking passes in advance. A great deal! The parking pass allows ticketholders to park from 3:30 pm to 2 am. Very flexible considering parking in Los Angeles especially around SoFi Stadium is expensive.

The Show

We were seated at a table right in the front by the stage so we could see Joey and the singers and dancers up close.

TinselColor started at around 7:30 pm and lasted about two and a half hours, including a 20-30 minute intermission. TinselColor is not only a concert but presents itself as a musical cabaret with sequences of songs and skits. The stories and themes are centered around the significance of Christmas and the holidays.  The show consisted of songs from Holiday movies such as Elf, Nightmare Before Christmas, Mean Girls, Love Actually, Muppets Christmas Carol and Die Hard. The setlist included “Let It Snow”, “Silver Bells”, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”, “Run, Run Rudolph”, “Sleigh Ride”, “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree”, “Hot Chocolate”, and “It Feels Like Christmas”, “White Christmas” and “Joy To The World”.

During the show, Joey not only sings but he also acts as the Master of Ceremonies. He is accompanied by a super talented cast of singers/actors, dancers and a live band.

Brayden Gleave, the youngest cast member, is definitely the breakout star of the show. Despite the young age, Brayden confidently holds himself alongside Joe and the other cast members. Brayden and Joe clearly share a strong chemistry onstage especially in the “Elf” inspired cooking sketch and the train sketch. He is incredibly energetic and quite funny. My favorite line was when he says to Joe, “Trust the process. You will have a funky funky Christmas” referring to the NKOTB Christmas album. We actually celebrated Brayden’s 15th birthday at the end of the show.

Another standout performer is Brian Justin Crum who starred with Cynthia Erivo and Adam Lambert in Jesus Christ Superstar.  Brian definitely shone during  “Santa Baby” where he walked out confidently onstage, barechest and wearing a long Santa jacket. Absolutely captivating the audience and singing his heart out. Brian’s talent is also highlighted when he sang  “Christmas, Please Come Home” and “What’s This” from the “Nightmare Before Christmas”.

Cheyenne Isabel Wells and Dionne Gibson are also phenomenal singers especially during their performance of Mariah Carey’s famous Christmas song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You”. In addition to the upbeat song energizing the audience, Cheyenne and Dion sang their butts off, displaying their amazing vocals. Cheyenne and Dion looked like they tried to out-sing each other and fight over who could sing the highest notes. The friendly rivalry enhanced the performances and quality of their voices. Rounding out the cast is Jalen Friday who was a last minute understudy addition! He sang a great version of “You’re A Mean One Mr. Grinch”.

Of course my favorite parts were always when Joe sang. I definitely did not expect him to sing “In Summer”, the Olaf song from Frozen, dressed up as a snowman and dancing around the stage. He also joined Cheyenne to sing “Baby It’s Cold Outside” where I did not expect him to play coconuts. He also sang an amazing rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” originated by Judy Garland in “Meet Me in Saint Louis”.  I was also happy and excited when Joe sang live “Brand New Christmas” from the Christmas movie he starred in last year, “JingleBell Christmas”.  Finally, Joe’s voice truly shines when he sings “When You Wish Upon A Star”. It was truly special hearing his voice on the Disney classic song.

The show closes with a celebratory champagne toast and the entire ensemble singing  “Auld Lang Syne” and “Put A Little Love In Your Heart”. And it snowed!
