Fan Girl. Boyband Groupie. Pop Music Aficionado.

Welcome to my blog, Concert Cover Girl.

My name is Iyleen. I am a proud Asian American  who happens to self-identify as a professional concert goer. My first concert was actually NSYNC’s No Strings Attached Tour in 2000 when I was 12 years old. However, I started going to more concerts once I entered college and the fun hasn’t stopped (Ok it took a pause during a pandemic).

This blog was primarily created to express my passion for live music, shows and concerts. Also, I discovered that the music/concert blogosphere is mostly dominated by white bloggers. So I decided to fill the gap, take up space and offer my perspectives as a woman of color. Specifically, I wanted to share my concert experiences along with some insights I learned from my adventures.

I currently reside in Boston aka Beantown land where New Edition, New Kids On The Block and LFO originated. I’m originally from Los Angeles (No I didn’t move to Boston to follow the New Kids). My day job is in higher education. I also volunteer for a non profit organization that advances Asian Americans in career development and professional leadership. I am also a foodie and bookworm. I love binge watching the latest show on the streaming services and traveling.

Thank you for visiting via your web search and/or social media feeds. I hope you gain something out of my blog.
