My Top 10 Pop2K Moments

Date: July 18 and July 19, 2026

Location: Cape Cod and Webster, MA

The Pop2000 Tour, one of my favorite must see concerts,  is back! The tour’s line up included O-Town, BBMAK, Brad Fischetti of LFO, and Ryan Cabrera. The concert is hosted by Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC. The Pop200 Tour celebrates the 1999/2000s MTV and TRL era.  Despite the rain storm in Cape Cod, the Pop2000 still delivered a fun concert full of pop nostalgia.

In paying homage to the TRL Top 10 Countdown, here are my Top 10 favorite moments of this past weekend’s Pop2000 tour at the Cape Cod’s Melody Tent and Webster’s Indian Ranch shows.

  1. BBMAK Acoustic Performance of “Ghost of You and Me”

Prior to the main show, BBMAK hosted their “Unpredictable, Unplugged and Up Close” VIP expeience. During these events, BBMAK performed an acoustic version of their songs. This time, they played “Wolves” and “Ghost of You and Me”. It was the first time I heard “Ghost Of You and Me” acoustic. Admittedly, the song is my least favorite of them. Because the song is so sad and heartbreaking. However, after hearing the acoustic version, I appreciated the song a lot more. I could definitely hear the beautiful  harmonization and voice blends amongst the BBMAK guys, particularly Mark and Christian.

2. Marcus Monroe crashing the party

Comedian Marcus Monroe, good friend of the Pop2000 boys and boyband fan, crashed the Pop2000 show on Sunday, dressed up as a life-size popsicle whom Chris Kirkpatrick dubbed Drippy. He is hilarious and definitely made everyone laugh. Adding some comic relief to the show. Marcus joined Ryan Cabrera during “Prescription of You” and shook a little prescription bottle. He also joined the rest of the Pop2000 line up during the “All or Nothing” finale.

3. Chris Kirkpatrick Story Time

On the Sunday show at Webster, I opted to do Chris Kirkpatrick’s “Dirty Pop” VIP. Chris’s VIP is quite exclusive as there are only 15 spots available. Nevertheless, his VIP is very informal where Chris shares stories and insights from the NSYNC tour days. It was such a fun time. I could not believe he played so many tricks on JC like almost buying him a cow in Idaho and hiding a python snake in the tour bus.

4. Tommy Carlucci - DJ Set

Tommy Carlucci first joined the Pop2000 show as Ryan Cabrera’s drummer two years ago. This year, Tommy has expanded his role and now serves as the DJ who plays music in between changes of artist sets. He also manages the music during O-Town’s set. Knowing the audience is mainly made of millennial women, Tommy’s playlist consisted of music from 1990s/early 2000s from Christina Aguilera and Destiny’s Child to JC Chasez. He definitely knew how to hype the crowd and get them excited for the boys.

5. Chris Kirkpatrick singing a medley of NSYNC songs

Another Chris Kirkpatrick moment! I’ve noticed that Chris has become more confident as not only as Master of Ceremonies, but as a solo performer. Some NSYNC fans believe Chris is in his “leading man” era. In between the acts, Chris would entertain the crowd with singing some NSYNC songs including: “Gone”, “I Want You Back”, “Here We Go”, “Just Got Paid”, and “Digital Get Down”. And the crowd would get ecstatic cheering him on and sing along.

6. BBMAK and Chris Kirkpatrick - “This I Promise You”

I’m not biased but Chris definitely stood out during this tour! Before the tour, Chris approached BBMAK to perform NSYNC’s “This I Promise You” with them. The BBMAK boys could not believe it themselves and felt very honored to sing the song with him. The performance is definitely one of my favorite renditions of the song. Knowing BBMAK opened up for NSYNC back in the day, this performance is extra special. It was beautiful to see Chris sing Justin’s parts and Mark and Christian taking on JC’s parts. Also, watching Christian and Ste playing the song on their guitars is amazing. All their vocals harmonize perfectly. It was a lovely moment.

7. New O-Town Song Debut!

During their set, O-Town took the opportunity to perform their new song, “Certified Delulu”. The song is, without a doubt, a bop that got the audience dancing! And clearly describes the crazy times we live in.

8. Honoring Rich and Devin of LFO

Since its inception, Brad Fischetti and the Pop2000 tour always carved out time to remember Rich and Devin of LFO. Especially during Brad and O-Town’s performance of “Girl On TV”. The Cape Cod show was particularly special because they showed pictures of Rich and Devin on screen. The moment was heartwarming and kept their memories alive.

9.O-Town and Chris Kirkpatrick’s performance of NSYNC’s “Girlfriend”

Usually Chris joins O-Town to sing a bunch of NSYNC songs during their set like “Bye Bye Bye”, “It’s Gonna Be Me”and “Pop”. This time around, they added “Girlfriend” off their Celebrity Album. They actually sang the remix version with Trevor rapping Nelly’s parts and Chris singing Justin and JC’s parts. Also Dan went out into the audience and danced with the fans, igniting more boyband nostalgia.

10. Celebrating Ryan Cabrera’s Birthday

The Saturday show at Melody Tent happened to fall on Ryan Cabrera’s birthday. At the end of show after the guys finished singing “All Or Nothing”, Joel the tour manager came out with a cake. And we all got to sing Happy Birthday to Ryan. It was truly a special moment. Ryan is considered “the little brother” of the Pop2000 tour. And seeing all the artists celebrating with him shows the true brotherhood and bondage they all share with each other. On top of that, Ryan announced he plans to release a new album!
