How to Re-Sell Your Concert Tickets
Often times and most recently, I found myself in situations where I am longer able to attend the concert. Or, I found better seats. And, suddenly, I am left with extra concert tickets and there are no refund options! And I have to get rid of these tickets. I’m sure you have been in that situation too!
So, here are my five tips on how to re-sell concert tickets:
Share with your friends and family that you are selling your tickets
Highly recommend posting on multiple Fan FaceBook groups (if allowable by admin) to let fans know you have tickets available
Make sure you add a screenshot of your ticket to ensure your ticket is legitimate.
List the date and location of the concert and asking price
Request ticket buyers message you directly
You may need to repost your ticket sale multiple times prior to the show date if your ticket hasn’t been sold
Post on Instagram
Share a screenshot of your ticket on your Instagram and story with listed price, date and location of your concert
List Your Ticket on Ticketmaster
If you bought your ticket on Ticketmaster, you can resell your ticket on the website
Ticketmaster will need to take a sales fee from you
You will need to fill out Seller’s profile to legitimize that you are an authentic seller
Sell At A Lower Price (if needed!)
As the date of the show gets closer, you may need to lower the ticket price
And accept less money than what you paid for
Get Paid First!
When you finally sell your ticket, make sure the buyer pays you first before you transfer the ticket!
A common way of getting paid is through venmo or paypal
If you sold on Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster will send your payment 5-7 days after the concert
